8/2 AWG Safety Duplex Cable - Red/Yellow - 50'

Duplex Boat Cable is used in low voltage AC applications as well as DC circuits.  Pacer manufactures 8 AWG Duplex boat cable in house in the USA for the best quality.  First, the cable is built from finely stranded, Type III tinned copper conductors.  These conductors allow for flexibility and help to prevent corrosion.

The PVC jacket helps 8 AWG Duplex Boat Cable to be flexible while preventing moisture from accumulating.  How does it do that?  During the extrusion process, the spaces between wires are filled.  This leaves no space for moisture or air to accumulate.  After that, a talcum powder coating is given to the interior wires. This coating is used to allow the outer jacket to be easily removed.  Just another reason 8 AWG Duplex boat cable is perfect for marine use.

Pacer's marine wire exceeds the requirements and standards of UL, ABYC, and NMMA.

8/3 AWG Triplex Cable - Black/Green/White - 100'

8 AWG Triplex boat cable is commonly used for AC circuits in boats and recreational vehicles.  It is an ideal choice when looking at multiconductor boat cables.  Pacer Group manufactures 16 AWG triplex cable in the USA for longevity and easy installation.  How is that accomplished?  It starts with finely stranded tinned copper conductors.  These conductors prevent corrosion and also allow the cable to be flexible.

Another important aspect of triplex boat cable is the insulation.   The PVC insulation is designed specifically for protection from moisture and fatigue.  These conductors also allow the cable to be flexible.  Flexibility is essential when working in enclosed marine spaces.  The PVC insulation is designed for protection from moisture and fatigue.  It is created during the extrusion process.  The extrusion process for this cable fills the voids between the conductors.  This process eliminates any possibility of moisture or air build up in the wires.  To make it even better, talcum powder is coated on the wires.  This is done to allow for the easy removal of the jacket during installation.

Features:

  • Stranded, tinned copper
  • Color coded conductors
  • Tough PVC Jacket
  • Highly flexible
  • Easy to strip and route

Compliances:

  • UL Standard - 1426
  • U.S.C.G - 33 CFR part 183
  • ABYC - E-11.16

Technical Specifications:

  • Conductor - Annealed Fine Stranded Tinned Copper, ASTM B172 Class K

Beige 2 AWG Wire Ferrule - 16mm Length - 10 Pack

Wire fraying can quickly become a problem when dealing with IEC (European)-style terminal blocks. As the wire frays, the connection becomes weaker, and the problem will need to be addressed. But all that can be prevented. How? By utilizing wire ferrules. Wire ferrules are a type of terminal that prevents wire fraying. It covers the stranded wire and creates a solid, connected piece. In a sense, wire ferrules make stranded wire behave like solid wire. This is important, especially when working with IEC terminal blocks.

How are wire ferrules properly used? The first step is to strip the wire to the correct length. Now slide the ferrule over the exposed wire. Make sure that the nylon casing butts up to the wire insulation. Once set, crimp using the proper tool. Using the proper tool is important, as, without the proper pressure, the wire may not create a solid connection. Proper crimping pressure and technique are key to ensuring continued performance. Once properly crimped, users can add heat shrink for added protection if they choose.

Features:

  • Prevent strand separation while minimizing strand breakage
  • Insulated ferrules provide additional electrical insulation
  • Increase connection reliability when terminating stranded wire in terminal blocks

Specifications:

  • Package Size: 10
  • Wire Size (AWG): 2
  • Insulation Color: Beige
  • Ferrule Length: 16mm (0.63 in.)
  • Stripping Length: 18mm (0.75 in.)

Black 10 AWG Wire Ferrule - 10mm Length - 25 Pack

  • Package Size: 25
  • Wire Size (AWG): 10
  • Insulation Color: Black
  • Ferrule Length: 12mm (0.47 in.)
