Born in litters of 12-15 pups, infant hammerhead sharks are abandoned by their parents shortly after birth. However, the young sharks form schools until they are old enough to hunt on their own. This baby has been separated from his siblings and needs a companion!
Scientific Name: Family Sphyrnidae Characteristics: Painted by hand and crafted with stunning accuracy, this model depicts the hammerhead shark's atypical "cephalofoil" head which not only allows it to see above and below itself, but can also be used as a tool to pin down its prey. This helps the hammerhead keep its meal in close proximity to its uniquely positioned mouth, located underneath and behind its snout. Size and Color: 7 inches in length and 3 inches in height, this baby hammerhead is roughly the size of a 16 oz. water bottle turned on its side. Sporting the most common coloration of hammerhead sharks, this youngling has a brown top which helps it blend into the dark ocean floor and a white underside which disguises it amidst the bright and sunny water's surface. The Hammerhead Shark is part of the Incredible Creatures collection. All of our products are Non-toxic and BPA free. |

Named for its habit of rooting through hedges and undergrowth for tasty insects, hedgehogs are any of the spiny mammals within the subfamily Erinaceinae. They are endemic to Europe, Asia, and Africa, and have also been introduced to New Zealand.
History: Hedgehog species are actually split up among 5 different genera, including Atelerix, Erinaceus, Hemiechinus, Mesechinus, and, Paraechinus. There are currently 16 known species of hedgehog, all of which are natively found in Europe, Asia, and Africa. In the areas hedgehogs have been introduced, they are considered a pest and an invasive species, and cause serious damage to many endemic forms of wildlife that they directly compete with. From its little snout to the short quills that cover its back, this hedgehog figure could be mistaken for the real thing! Hedgehogs are small, shrew-like mammals whose fur has evolved into tiny spines that protect the hedgehog from predators. If threatened, the hedgehog will curl up into a ball to protect areas without spines: namely its face, feet, and underbelly.
History: Hedgehogs are relatively ancient mammals, having changed very little in 15 million years. The word "Hedgehog" refers to the animal's pig-like nose, and the fact that it's often found in rows of hedges. Hedgehogs are popular pets, but can be difficult to care for and some U.S. states do not allow domesticated Hedgehogs. The most commonly kept species is the White-bellied Hedgehog, which is native to central Africa. Scientific Name:Family Erinaceidae, Subfamily Erinaceinae Characteristics: These Hedgehog Good Luck Minis may be small, but they're packed with details, from the spiky quills to their tiny feet. Size: Each Hedgehog Good Luck Mini measures 5/6 of an inch long. All of our products are Non-toxic and BPA free 192 Pieces Per Bag. Only Available in Bulk Purchase. |

*Voted best dinosaur toy figure of 2016 by Prehistoric Time Magazine*
Iguanodon was the first plant-eating dinosaur ever discovered, and the second dinosaur to be named. A sharp spike on its thumb provided a useful defensive weapon against predators. It occupied Europe during the Early Cretaceous, 125 million years ago. History: Iguanodon was originally thought to be a lumbering four-legged monster, similar to an iguana, with a horn on its nose. Later discoveries of complete articulated skeletons led to it being regarded as a biped with a posture more like a kangaroo, and the horn on its nose was correctly identified as a thumb spike. Today, Iguanodon is thought to have walked on four legs most of the time - the early 19th century palaeontologists were right about that after all! Scientific Name: Iguanodon bernissartensis Characteristics: Iguanodon is a herbivorous dinosaur, 33 feet long - the size of a small bus. It could walk on two long back legs, but spent most of its time on all fours, as our Iguanodon toy depicts. It has a horny beak and leaf-shaped teeth, similar to those of a modern iguana. It has a long tail and short arms with five-fingered hands. Most of its claws are blunt and hoof-like, but it has a sharp thumb spike. Size: This Iguanodon toy model is 7.25 inches long and 2.75 inches high. The Iguanodon is part of the Wild Safari Prehistoric World collection All of our products are Non-toxic and BPA free |
