Civilization is a board game of culture, politics and warfare. Based on the best-selling computer game, this board game lets players explore the world, research new technologies, build an empire and conquer their enemies.

This game is designed for two to four players ages 14 and up. The average game time is two to four hours. Each game features a unique map, six different civilizations and almost 40 different technologies to learn.

Each Civilization board game comes with one rulebook, one market board, four reference sheets, six civilization sheets, six plastic connectors, six home map tiles, 14 generic map tiles,24 plastic army figures, eight plastic scout figures, one plastic white Russian army figure, 55 combat cards, four setup cards, 15 government cards, 145 tech cards, 47 culture event cards, 12 wonder cards, one first player marker, 12 city markers, 29 military tech markers, six trade dials, six economy dials, 12 disaster markers, six culture level markers, 12 wonder markers, 19 great person markers, 16 market resource tokens, 20 hut markers, 10 village markers, 49 building markers, 90 culture tokens, 28 wound tokens and 75 coin tokens.

With so many different possibilities and scenarios, no two Civilization games will be played the same way.
